Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside provider that operates it. That company processes the request and supplies the response. We do not keep a separate log of those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or contact submission may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the exchange. It is not shared outside our organization unless the law requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers automatically receive basic technical details whenever a visitor loads a page:
- Page-view times and the pages opened

- The referring website, when one is reported

- Time spent on viewed pages
- The device's assigned IP address

No Criminal-Record Data on File
We do not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site explains how Butler County records may be requested from the sheriff, Circuit Clerk, Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS Central Repository, and Missouri Sex Offender Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party criminal profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Their privacy policies, retention periods, and sharing rules govern anything submitted through those tools. Review the applicable provider's terms before running a search because we do not control those practices.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Butler County offices, Missouri agencies, courts, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once you leave this site, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for targeted advertising. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Limited information may be available to:

Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. If such information is identified, it will be deleted.
Your Data Rights
Missouri's Sunshine Law, Chapter 610, and criminal-history dissemination provisions in RSMo §§43.500 through 43.507 govern access to records held by public bodies. Those laws do not replace any privacy rights that may apply to data held by this private site. At a minimum, you can:
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Ask what personal data we hold about you
- Opt out of certain processing activities
- Request deletion of your data
